Seven buildings sealed in city

Ludhiana, December 12

The Municipal Corporation took action against nine illegal constructions in Zone A on Wednesday. Assistant Town Planner Mohan Singh said seven buildings were sealed and two structures demolished by the MC staff.

Officials claimed that they had served notices to the violators but they failed to get the violations removed.

Five buildings located on Brown Road were sealed. The MC team also sealed a hotel near railway station for violating the parking norms. The seals were removed after the owners paid the compoundable fee, sources said.

A shop near Deepak Cinema was sealed as its owner had failed to pay the fee for change of land use. Meanwhile, the MC team demolished two structures located near Deepak Cinema. — TNS
