The CIA wing of the Jagraon police has nabbed a smuggler with 22 cases of liquor. He has been identified as Sukhjit Singh of Sangrur. The police also impounded the Innova vehicle being used by Sukhi.
The investigating officer, ASI Karamjit Singh, said during routine patrolling at Kaoke Kalan village, an Innova was signalled to stop for checking. The driver tried to escape instead. The police cornered him after a chase and recovered liquor from the vehicle. — TNS
