Arvinder Preet Singh, president, LDCA, said Punjab domicile players born on or after January 1, 2013 could participate in the championship. Competition will be based on the Swiss League System and will be conducted in six rounds. The girls’ category is reserved for female players only.

The top two players would be selected to represent the state in the National U-11 Chess Championship to be held in Hyderabad in October, said Singh. Interested players can confirm their participation with the LDCA organising secretary, Sakshi Aggarwal, at 91-97815-14012. — TNS
