Ludhiana: City-based student, Palak Jindal studying at the DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jalandhar, stood first in BTech third semester exam conducted by the Punjab Technical University by obtaining 9.



Ludhiana: City-based student, Palak Jindal studying at the DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jalandhar, stood first in BTech third semester exam conducted by the Punjab Technical University by obtaining 9.68 Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA).

GNIMT students standout 

Students of the Guru Nanak Institute of Management (GNIMT), Gujarkhan Campus, Model Town, bagged four merit positions out of 10 in BCA fifth semester exam conducted by the IK Gujral Punjab Technical University. Nisha Kumari stood fifth in the varsity and first in the college by scoring 9.50 SGPA out of 10. Manpreet Kaur, Manmeet Kaur and Yatin got second position in the college and ninth rank in the university with 9.29 SGPA.

Guru Nanak Khalsa College

Students of the Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Gujarkhan Campus, Model Town, proved their mettle in BA sixth semester exam. Neeraj Sharma obtained 74.64 per cent and stood first in the college. Simrandeep Kaur ranked second by scoring 74.24 per cent and Simranjit Kaur stood third in the college with 72.33 per cent.

Synetic Business School 

Students of the Synetic Business School bagged 10 positions in the Punjab Technical University (PTUs) merit list. Jaspreet Kaur, fifth semester student of Commerce obtained first position in the varsity. Hema Kesari of third semester stood third and Balkaran Kaur stood fourth in the university. Kumari Manju and Deepika got seventh position in Commrece third semester. Mansi Kakkar of Commerce first semester stood fourth. Jyoti, Lata Pandey and Priya stood eight, ninth and 10th, respectively. Dr Ghazala Qadri, chairperson SBS, said credit for this excellent achievement goes to faculty and students. Dr Zafar Zahir, MD and officiating principal said it is a matter of pride to have such a large number of students in the merit list of the PTU. He said their top priority is to give quality and need based education to prepare student not only for exams but for life. “To achieve this goal, SBS makes every effort to engage talented teachers and provide state-of-the-art infrastructure to students,” he said. — TNS
