In tandem with “5F” farm to fiber, fiber to fabric, fabric to fashion and fashion to foreign, formula of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Inter National Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) and London School of Trends (LST) celebrated the craftsmanship of emerging Indian student designers at Vibrant India during New York Fashion Week held on February 9 and 10.
The INIFD in association with LST was the first fashion institute in the world to showcase their students’ collection at two major fashion capitals of the world, including New York and London for sixth consecutive season.
On the one hand, young Indian designers of INIFD have been showcasing their work at Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai for last 22 consecutive seasons. On the other, student from INIFD worked hard to showcase their skills in London and New York Fashion Week.
Based on the theme art and craft, bad girls, evening wear and tailoring, the show was a perfect amalgamation of rich Indian textiles and techniques along with internationally accepted cuts and designs.
Models displayed rich Indian cultural heritage blended with western aesthetics. Students focused on fall winter trends.
