Ludhiana: Maple Bear Canadian Play-way and Nursery School, Udham Singh Nagar, concluded Nature Summer Camp 2019, a camp organised on school campus, with great fanfare and enthusiasm. The camp concluded in a unique way. Kids made cards with a photographs of their fathers to be presented to them on Father’s Day. More than 100 students participated in the summer camp. They learnt the art of using waste materials, paper and other by-products to showcase their talent and improving their skills during the summer camp. Children also learnt colouring, calligraphy, English speaking and dance forms. They also visited an ice-cream studio and Funcity.
The Learning Station
A two-week summer camp concluded at The Learning Station, a pre-school on Humbran Road. Training was imparted to 34 kids of the age group two to 13 in various skills and arts. Training in self-defense, dance and fine arts was imparted by specialists and was a great success among students. Executive Director VK Mehta congratulated the participants and distributed certificates. Special awards were given to the kids who performed the best.
JEE Advanced results
Deepkamal Singh Jassal of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Public School has brought laurels to the school by clinching 1,011 rank in JEE (Advanced). Deepkamal said his grandfather was his role model and thanked his parents and teachers for his success. With an aim to become an IAS officer, he plans to pursue computer engineering from a premier IIT. Three students, namely Dhriti Gupta (AIR 3705), Ishan Sharma (AIR 6,363) and Arjun Kathail (AIR 9,101) were acknowledged for their brilliant scores in the IIT JEE Advanced results declared on June 14.

Meanwhile, Divyanshu of DAV, Pakhowal Road, proved his mettle by grabbing AIR 151 in the CLAT exam, followed by Amrin Kaur Rajpal with AIR 1,296. TNS
