Activists of various farmers’ organisations protesting against agri laws have claimed that a large number of activists of organisations of non-agricultural communities have come in support of the proposed ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest on November 26.
Harmeet Singh Kadian, president, Bharti Kissan Union (Kadian) said farmers’ organisations have received a overwhelming support from all sections of society, including small traders, employees, artisans and farm labourers.
Kadian said the protesting outfits were unanimous on watching interests of small traders and common man too.
Baldev Singh Latala, a leader of All India Kissan Sabha, said office-bearers of various units were all out to persuade activists of likeminded organisations to support the proposed ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest. “Having received support from farm labourers, small traders and some employee unions, leaders have decked special vehicles for spreading awareness about anti-people policies of the Union Government,” said Latala appreciating that people of the Malwa belt were more enthusiastic to join the protest.
