Tally 201 with 4 more cases in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, June 1

Eight more persons (four from Ludhiana district) tested positive for Covid-19 today. They include a 20-year-old man who works at Manesar and came back from Delhi on May 19. He belongs to Bipur village, near Khanna.

The others are a 31-year-old pregnant woman who visited the flu corner of Civil Hospital, the mother a Covid patient from Samrala, who visited Delhi on May 20, and his four-month-old child. Besides, four undertrials from Borstal Jail have also tested positive, two each from Gurdaspur and Kapurthala.

Meanwhile, the samples of the staff of the Bharat Nagar branch of Allahabad Bank were taken today after one of the employees came in contact with a Covid-positive person. The branch was closed today and it will remain closed till further orders.
