Ludhiana: Students of Drishti Dr RC Jain Innovative Public School celebrated Teej with enthusiasm. To mark the celebrations, they applied mehndi, performed giddha and kikli. Principal Gauri Chhabra wished everyone on the occasion and motivated them to preserve our culture. TNS

Quiz on Nature

BVM, Kitchlu Nagar, celebrated nature conservation week. Students planted saplings, designed bird feeders and beautiful bird houses. They made videos on Aao Paryawaran Sambhalein and participated in quiz contests too. Adopting a virtual approach, students of the senior wing attempted to make life better and more natural by conducting webinars for their juniors. TNS

Nature Conservation Day observed

To sensitise students to environmental degradation for selfish motives of the denizens, BVM Sen. Sec School, Udham Singh Nagar, celebrated ‘World Nature Conservation Day’ with prodigious zeal. Online quiz competition was organised for classes VI to VIII. Bisman Singh (IX) recited a beautiful poem. Rajani Nagpal (TGT science) in her address apprised the audience to protect, maintain and conserve the natural resources and gave a beautiful message that ‘Be a part of the solution not the part of the pollution’. She also apprised everyone with World Hepatitis Day celebrated worldwide on July 28. TNS

School Council formed

Ryan International School, Ludhiana, formed its school council using online mode. Meritorious students proposed their nominees, which were scrutinised by their teachers. Students of Classes IX to XII participated in mass online voting done through Google forms and casted their votes. Results were declared and the newly formed council members were congratulated for their new portfolios. Harsimran Singh of Class XII (science stream) and Prachi of Class XII (Humanities) were elected as school president and prime minister, respectively. tns

Reading month competitions held

Students and teachers of BCM School, Chandigarh Road, participated in CBSE reading month activities and competitions which was celebrated from June 19 to July 18. In the open art competition, Divik Garg of Class II, Mahanya Garg of Class III bagged the second prize and Ridhima of Class V got third prize. In the quiz competition for the students of Classes VI to XII, Vidhi Jain of Class VII got third position. TNS
