Tenant verification: Four arrested for violating norms in Ludhiana



Ludhiana, March 15

Under the ongoing drive to ensure that all property owners get police verification of their tenants done in accordance with orders issued by the Police Commissionerate, the city police have arrested four persons and charged them under Section 188, IPC, for non-compliance of prohibitory orders.

The police said the property owners nabbed for failure to intimate the police about their tenants and get their police verification done were Sahibpreet Singh, a resident of Street No 8, Mohar Singh Nagar, Vinod Kumar Sehgal of street no. 1, Fatehganj, Chaman Lal, a resident of Street No. 1, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Park and Gaurav Sidana of Chhawni Mohalla.

The police have cautioned all owners of residential and commercial properties to strictly abide by directions with regard to the police verification of their tenants as well as domestic servants/employees at commercial establishments in their own interest. — OC
