Thieves decamp with midday meal ration

Thieves struck at Government Elementary School Khant and decamped with a huge quantity of wheat and rice, and a gas cylinder. Navneet Kaur, Head Mistress of the school, said on Saturday when they reached the school, they found locks of six rooms broken. When she, along with the others, entered the rooms, they found about 1 quintal of wheat and 1 quintal of rice meant for midday meal was missing. A gas cylinder lying in the room was also stolen.

Navneet said they had brought the matter to the notice of police.
