Ludhiana, December 7

The Sadar police registered a case against three car-borne assailants who had attacked a man at Ishar Nagar.

The police registered a case after a week of the incident.

Complainant Ramandeep Singh (brother of the victim), resident of Bachitar Nagar, told the police that on November 26, he was heading towards his home. When he reached Ishar Nagar, he saw that three car (HR26BE1794)-borne persons had cornered his brother Pawandeep Singh and attacking him with sharp weapons.

“I then raised an alarm and nearby people gathered. Assailants then fled in their car. We immediately rushed my brother to the CMC Hospital, where his condition is now normal after treatment,” revealed the victim’s brother.

The complainant demanded that his brother had no enmity with anyone and he was also shocked why those unknown assailants attacked his brother.

Investigation officer ASI Hardev Singh said a case under various sections of the IPC was registered and further probe has been launched in the case.

The police is also tracing the owner of the car by contacting the Transport Department office concerned.
