Ludhiana, April 13
The police have nabbed three persons and recovered heroin and ganja from them in two cases.
The Focal Point police nabbed two bike-borne persons and recovered 12 gram of heroin from their possession. The suspects have been identified as Rinku of Shimlapuri and Gautam Chawla of Preet Nagar. The investigating officer, ASI Surjit Singh, said during routine patrolling at Neechi Mangli village, the police stopped two bike-borne persons for checking and found 12-gram heroin on them.
They were on their way to deliver the drug to their clients in the area.
In the other case, the Moti Nagar police nabbed a man and recovered 500-gram ganja from his possession. The suspect has been identified as Ajay Kumar Sonkar of Industrial Area A. He was nabbed at Cheema Chowk following a tip-off.
A case under the NDPS Act has been registered by the police.
