Travel woes: Nine trains cancelled

Ludhiana, February 24

There was no relief in sight for passengers from the weather-hit rail traffic as the Railways announced cancellation of nine trains on Monday. One pair of trains remained partially cancelled, another rescheduled and four trains were diverted via alternative routes due to operational reasons.

Railway officials said 12925 Bandra Terminus-Amritsar Pashchim Express, 13006 Amritsar-Howrah Mail, 13151/52 Kolkata-JammuTawi-Kolkata Sealdah Express, 14605 Haridwar-Jammu Tawi Express, 14617/18 Banmankhi-Amritsar-Banmankhi Jansewa Express, 14673 Jaynagar-Amritsar Shaheed Express and 22423 Gorakhpur-Amritsar Jansadharan Express trains were cancelled for the day.

The pair of 14609/10 Rishikesh-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi-Rishikesh Hemkunt Sahib Express remained partially cancelled between Rishikesh and Haridwar and 12358 Amritsar-Kolkata Superfast Express was rescheduled by 1.30 hrs.

n 1 to 3 hrs: 11057 CST Mumbai-Amritsar Dadar Express, 15211 Darbhanga-Amritsar Jannayak Express, 12358 Amritsar-Kolkata Superfast Express, 15531 Saharsa-Amritsar Jansadharan Express, 12919 Dr Ambedkar Nagar-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Malwa Express, 12317 Kolkata-Amritsar Akal Takht Express.
