Tributes paid to Dr Ambedkar

Ludhiana: Rich floral tributes were paid to Dr BR Ambedkar on his death anniversary on Thursday. The day is also known as Ambedkar Nirvan Diwas. Members of various associations and social organisations paid rich tributes to the architect of the constitution of India. The statue of BR Ambedkar located in the district administrative complex was paid floral tributes by the people today. Members of Ambedkar Navyuvak Dal also paid tributes to Ambedkar and said he was the founder of modern India and they salute his ideology. TNS

Sood nominated BJP prez

Khanna: Former chairman of the Improvement Trust Khanna and BJP leader Ajay Sood had been nominated as president of BJP ‘s Khanna district . This nomination had been made by Punjab president of the BJP Shwait Malik. The last president Ranjit Singh Heera had resigned on November 23 due to personal reasons. It is to pertinent to mention that father of Ajay Sood, Hans Raj Sood, had also worked as the president of the BJP. TNS
