Ludhiana, June 26

The Haibowal police have registered a property fraud case against two persons, including a woman. The suspects have been identified as Shaminder Singh and Balwinder Kaur, residents of Aman Vihar.

They took a sum of Rs 5.50 lakh as advance from a person, but later refused to execute the registration of a property.

Complainant Sita Ram of Haibowal Khurd told the police that he purchased a plot from the suspects for Rs 5.50 lakh and paid the entire money to them in advance.

The suspects later refused to execute the registration of the plot. They also refused to return the money, the complainant alleged.

Investigating Officer ASI Lakhwinder Masih said the deal for the property was done last year. After conducting an inquiry, a case of fraud and criminal conspiracy was registered against the suspects.
