Ludhiana: The police have booked unidentified bike-borne miscreants for snatching money and mobiles from two persons near Jalandhar bypass, Ludhiana. The complainant, Puneet Puri, a resident of Vishal Colony, said he along with his friend were going somewhere on bike when two motorcycle-borne miscreants forced them to stop their bike near the Jalandhar bypass flyover. He said the accused looted Rs5000 and a mobile from him after brandished a sharp weapon. The accused also looted Rs900 and a mobile from his friend. A case under sections of 379 B and 34 of the IPC has been registered against unidentified persons at the Daresi police station. TNS

House burgled at SBS Nagar

Ludhiana: The police on Sunday booked unidentified persons for stealing cash, gold and other valuables from a house at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Ludhiana. The complainant, Sukhvir Kaur, told the police that she along with her family had gone to meet her relatives on November 3 and when she returned on November 20, she learned about the theft. She told the police that thieves have stolen Rs50,000 cash, 32 gold coins, jewellery, laptop, microwave, LED TV and other goods from the house. A case under sections of 457 and 380 of the IPC has been registered at the Dugri police station against unidentified accused. TNS
