Two test positive in Ludhiana district

Ludhiana, September 14

Two persons tested positive for Covid, while no death due to the disease was reported in the district today. The recovery rate of Covid patients has reached 97.57 per cent.

Today there were 30 active patients in the district and 27 were sent for home isolation. One patient was admitted to hospital for Covid treatment.

Till date, a total of 23,93,055 samples for Covid test have been taken, of which 22,93,874 samples were found negative. The total number of patients belonging to Ludhiana is 8,75,102, while 11,669 patients belong to other districts/states.

The total number of persons who lost their lives to the disease is 2,099 from Ludhiana and 1,049 from other districts.

Samples of 7,638 suspected patients were sent for testing today and their results are expected shortly.

Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma appealed to the residents to adhere to all safety protocols like wearing masks, maintaining social distance and washing hands frequently of the Punjab Government.
