The College of Veterinary Science at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University organised its alumni meet, christened Saanjh-2026, drawing an overwhelming response, said officials. The said nearly 300 alumni, serving in diverse capacities across India and abroad, gathered on campus to celebrate their shared legacy and professional achievements.
Swaran Singh Randhawa, Dean, and president, Alumni Association, welcomed the delegates. In his address, he emphasised the vital role alumni play in strengthening the university’s global reputation and fostering future collaborations.
Dr JPS Gill, Vice-Chancellor, lauded the contributions of the alumni in advancing animal health, livestock development and public health services. He encouraged continued engagement between the university and its graduates to address emerging challenges in veterinary sciences.
The attendees also took a moment to remember and pay tributes to their fellows who have passed away.
The meet concluded with cultural performances, featuring folk songs, dance, skits and an energetic bhangra, celebrating the state’s rich heritage.
