Vet varsity releases book by alumna

LUDHIANA: A book titled ‘Finding Julia’, written by Rana Preet Gill, an alumna of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Science University (GADVASU), was released by Satyawan Rampal, director students welfare, and Prof MK Ghuman, Principal of Guru Nanak College for Women, at Silver Jubilee Auditorium of GADVASU.

Ludhiana, April 25

A book titled ‘Finding Julia’, written by Rana Preet Gill, an alumna of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Science University (GADVASU), was released by Satyawan Rampal, director students welfare, and Prof MK Ghuman, Principal of Guru Nanak College for Women, at Silver Jubilee Auditorium of GADVASU.

Rana Preet Gill is a Hoshiarpur-based veterinary officer, who works with the Animal Husbandry Department, Punjab.

The book is second by the author. Her first book was launched last year and was among the bestsellers. The new book is a compilation of published pieces of the writer, along with photographs. It has been divided into seven sections: Pets, People, Profession, Childhood memories, Society and Education, Sehar and Soul matters.

The function was organised under the aegis of Young Writers Association president Dr Balbir Bagicha Singh Dhaliwal. The launch was followed by an interactive session among the author and senior veterinary professors including, Dr PN Dwivedi, Dr Kirti Dua and Dr Paramjit Singh.

“Life is full of various riddles that leave an imprint on our heart and soul but we seldom try to preserve these small or big incidents,” said Rana Preet Gill.
