Tribune News Service

Ludhiana, September 14

The Department of Local Government directed the Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana, to take required action on a complaint regarding a violation of rules by the civic body.

A city resident, Baljeet Singh, had complained to the Department of Local Government that additional charges were given to employees of the building branch by the MC, Ludhiana, without any approval of the Department of Local Government.

He had also alleged in the complaint that transfer orders of some employees were also ignored by the MC. He had further alleged that a few employees of the building branch of the MC were never transferred. Now, the Department of Local Government has sought a report on the complaint.

Meanwhile, Baljeet has also demanded from the Department of Local Government to order a probe as seniority was being ignored by the civic body here too as some junior officials had allegedly been given charge of higher rank.
