Ludhiana: Students of masters in fashion designing and management, Master Tara Singh Memorial College for Women, got an opportunity to visit Nagesh Knitwears Private Limited. Students got exposed to self-employment and they also learnt about the practical and technical aspects of garment manufacturing from yarn formation to fully fashioned knitwear garment manufacturing. Avninder Kaur, HOD of the department, was appreciated by college principal, Dr Kirandeep Kaur, for providing an enriching experience to students. The department also celebrated Human Rights Day.

Refresher course

A short-term course on ‘Decision Making Strategies in Industrial Environment’ and a refresher course on ‘Advances in Antenna Theory and Techniques’ concluded on Monday at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana. The courses were organised by the Mechanical Engineering and Electronics Engineering Departments, respectively. Dr Ajay Kumar Sharma, Vice chancellor, IKG PTU, Jalandhar, was the chief guest at the valedictory function. He said these courses not only enlightened the participants about new technologies, but also gave a platform to share their ideas with each other. Sharma also delivered the certificates to the participants. The dignitaries also visited the Heat Engine Lab of the college. TNS
