Ludhiana: A webinar was organised on different topics related with children with special needs. Keynote speakers at the webinar were Niranjan Kumar, a speech therapist, Mona Goyal and Karnpreet Singh, Director, EK Aaas Special School. They emphasised on the need of listening to the problems being faced by children. Parents also attended the webinar. Rajwinder Kaur, co-ordinator, inclusive wing, said there will be more such webinars in the coming months.

BCM Kindergarten

International Day of Deaf is held every year on September 23 to draw attention towards the achievements of deaf people. The shool organised a dumb charades activity wherein children participated with enthusiasm. The activity made them learn that being deaf is not a disability. We should support the deaf people and not to sympathise with them. The activity was also intended to raise the awareness about sign language.

BCM Arya School, Lalton

As a part of the ‘Fit India Movement’, the school organised an fun-filled virtual assembly for classes nursery to UKG. A variety of exercises fitness, warming up, dumbbells with water bottle, frog jump, duck walk, laughter and rhythmic exercises etc. were performed by students. These are entertaining activities which keep them mentally tuned, and physically active. Parents also took part in the live session enthusiastically and enjoyed being part of it. Teachers motivated students to make exercise an integral part of their daily regime. Principal Paramjit Kaur encouraged teachers and students to keep up the hard work and dedication. TNS
