Will request CM to install Shaheed Sukhdev’s statue in Patna: Minister during visit to Ludhiana

Bihar Minister Sanjay Paswan visited the birthplace of martyr Sukhdev Thapar at Naughara Mohalla in the old city, Ludhiana, on Sunday.

During the visit, he assured locals that he would take up the matter of installing Sukhdev’s statute in Patna with the Bihar Chief Minister. He added the initiative is aimed at acquainting the youth with the ideals of patriotism, courage and selfless service embodied by the revolutionary leader.

Addressing the gathering, Paswan said that Sukhdev’s supreme sacrifice for the nation would continue to inspire generations.

He added that Chirag Paswan, Union Minister and national president, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), has assured that he would place before Prime Minister Narendra Modi the demand to rename Ludhiana Railway Station after Shaheed Sukhdev Thapar as a mark of respect.

Welcoming the announcement, Ashok Thapar and Tribhuvan Thapar, members, Shaheed Sukhdev Thapar Trust, expressed their gratitude to the Bihar Government and Sanjay Paswan. They described the decision as a proud moment for the Thapar family and the nation, and said such initiatives would inspire the younger generation to uphold the values of patriotism and remember the extraordinary sacrifices made by freedom fighters.
