Woman killed as tractor-trailer hits motorcycle

LUDHIANA: A resident of Saheli village, Jodhan police station, identified as Manjit Kaur, was killed when a speeding tractor-trailer came on the main road near Rangian village and hit motorcycle, which she was riding pillion, on Saturday.

A resident of Saheli village, Jodhan police station, identified as Manjit Kaur, was killed when a speeding tractor-trailer came on the main road near Rangian village and hit motorcycle, which she was riding pillion, on Saturday.

Husband of deceased Ranjit Singh said both he and his wife fell on the road and received injuries. Ranjit sustained injuries on his leg and knee and his wife’s head hit the road and she suffered grievous injuries on her body. Passersby called an ambulance, which rushed the couple to the Civil Hospital. Ranjit said his wife Manjit Kaur was declared brought dead by doctors at the hospital. The Dehlon police have registered a case against unknown person.
