World Architecture Day celebrated

LUDHIANA: World Architecture Day is a day to show appreciation to the works of architects and celebrate some of the greatest global architectural works.

World Architecture Day is a day to show appreciation to the works of architects and celebrate some of the greatest global architectural works. The theme for this year is “Architecture, housing for all”. It will focus on how architects contribute to the realisation of affordable housing for all.

World Architecture Day was celebrated in the city under the banner of the Indian Institute of Architects, Ludhiana centre (IIALC). Sanjay Goel, chairman, IIA Punjab chapter, explained that architects contributed maximum in upcoming housing projects all over India as per the initiatives of the Union Government. A few goals include promoting good architecture and remind the world of its collective responsibility for the future of the human habitat. The celebrations were attended by office-bearers of IIA Ludhiana centre. —TNS
