LUDHIANA: Master of Physiotherapy in India, Dr Narkesh''s Pillai Human Society opened its 19th centre at Ludhiana



Ludhiana: Master of Physiotherapy in India, Dr Narkesh's Pillai Human Society opened its 19th centre at Ludhiana Mediways Hospital. It was inaugurated by Sant Baba Lakha Singh, SSP Dr Narinder Bhargav and Civil Surgeon Dr Parvinderpal Singh Sidhu. On this occasion, Dr Narakesh said he was running a chain of physiotherapy centers across the country through the Pillai Human Society. At present, their 18 centers are operating in different parts of the country. One of these centers is in Patiala. The 19th centers have been opened here in Ludhiana. 

Training programme held

The Punjab Medical Council in Association with Dr Sumita Sofat Hospital organised a training programme in infertility for doctors. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr Prithpal Singh (member of Punjab Medical Council) and Dr Karamvir Goyal (member of Punjab Medical Council) along with Dr Sumita Sofat and Dr Ashima Taneja. The purpose of this workshop was to spread awareness of latest technologies available for infertility treatment and how to introduce new techniques like CASA (Computer Aided Semen analysis) and laser hatching.  Infertility expert form across north India shared their ideas and discussed about male infertility and the trend of decreasing sperm count in males.

Free eye check-up camp 

Samrala: A free eye check up and operation camp was organised by an NGO Friends Foundation with the help of Mata Naina Devi Langar Committee at Chaurasi Pouri Mandir Samrala. President of the foundation Parvinder Singh Balli said the camp was inaugurated by Sunit Puri administrator Chaurasi Pouri Mandir while former chairman SS Umaidpuri and former MLA Jagjivan Singh Khirnia were also present during this camp. Balli said a team of specialised doctors from Shankra Eye Care Hosiptal Ludhiana checked about 366 patients out of which 183 patients were given spectacles free of cost and the medicines were also given free of cost to the needy.
