Ludhiana, January 19

On the second day of YARNEX and TEXINDIA exhibition, MLA Surinder Dawar visited the expo and appreciated efforts of the organisers.

The exhibition is being held under two different segments. Exhibitor companies dealing with yarn and textile are being handled by YARNEX, while TEXINDIA handles companies dealing with different garment accessories.

PN Krishna Murthy, CEO, YARNEX said, “We started this initiative 15 years ago. Every year we organise four exhibitions in various parts of the country. This is our first exhibition at Ludhiana and we are getting great response from industry. We try to bring various companies together at a common platform.”

Leading names, including Siyaram’s, Bhilosa, Sportking and RSWM, among others, showcased new technology in yarn and fabric manufacturing.

“Our target audience in Ludhiana is garment manufacturers. Ludhiana has a lot of potential for companies like us. We aim to provide quality raw product to garment manufacturers,” said ZA Sayyed, general manager, marketing, Siyaram’s.

Sportking which started the business as a ready-made garment unit gradually emerged into a vertically integrated textile conglomerate. “Frequency of exhibitions these days is increasing rapidly. The response we get from YARNEX exhibitions is always good. I must say that YARNEX holds one of the best exhibitions in India,” said Sunil Kukreti, general manager, marketing, Sportking.

Bhilosa, a Mumbai-based company which has been in this business for almost 10 decades, also exhibited products at YARNEX.
