Ludhiana, June 5

A 19-year-old boy, Yagpreet Singh, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan in his room at Prem Nagar Kucha Number 16 today. He worked at a medical store. He used his mother’s dupatta to hang himself.

Assistant Sub-inspector Des Raj said no suicide note was recovered from the spot. Also, the family did not suspect any foul play.

According to the police, Yagpreet went to shop at 9 am today and returned at 3 pm after taking the half-day leave on account of his birthday. After returning home, he uploaded a photo with his mother on his Facebook account and later at 4 pm, when his mother went to his room, she was shocked to see the hanging body of her son.

Yagpreet’s father had gone to Rajasthan to attend his relative’s funeral.
