Youth killed by drug addict in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, March 28

A youth was killed by an alleged drug addict at Samrala on Saturday night.

The deceased has been identified as Jasvir Singh Joga (25). The police identified the accused as Kuldeep Singh Deepa.

Jasvir Singh and his brother-in-law Ajay were going to home on a motorcycle and when they reached near the Cold Store of Dhilwan, they were stopped by a drug addict, who asked them to hand over cash and other valuables.

When Jasvir Singh protested the move, the drug addict attacked him with a sharp weapon killing him on the spot.

The drug addict took out cash and mobile phone from the pockets of the deceased and fled.

Ajay informed his family and the police. The Station House Officer, Samrala, Kuljinder Singh, said the accused was identified and efforts were on to arrest him.
