Delhi Police has arrested another person in connection with the protest staged by the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) members during the AI Impact Summit held in the capital last week, officials confirmed on Monday.

The latest arrest is that of Jitendra Yadav, who was taken into custody from Gwalior. With this, the total number of people arrested in the case has risen to five, the police said.

The incident occurred on Friday, February 20, when a group of Indian Youth Congress workers disrupted proceedings at the AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam.

The protesters allegedly removed their shirts inside the exhibition hall and moved around displaying T-shirts carrying slogans critical of the government and the India–US trade deal. Security personnel at the venue quickly intervened and escorted them out.
