The district administration has announced that retail medical shops would remain open from 2 pm to 5 pm daily for emergency patients.
Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma said the retail medicine shops in the district would remain open for three hours. He said it wasn’t curfew relaxation, but a move to facilitate only emergency patients.
He said only one person from a family would be allowed to take medicine in emergency. They need to maintain social distancing while getting medicines from the shops.
The DC said the move was primarily aimed at facilitating the people facing emergency health problems. He added that if norms were violated, restriction on opening shops would be imposed again.
