‘Find kachra, win prizes’, taunts Twitter as Hema Malini sweeps parliament

A video of BJP Member of Parliament Hema Malini and Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur has Twitter is splits.

The video was from a cleanliness drive that saw BJP's Members of Parliament participate at Parliament House.  

Most Twitter users found the actress-politican's attempt at sweeping Parliament House hilarious. Some people, like National Conference working president Omar Abdullah, wondered at the point of exercise given that Parliament House "was one of the cleanest places" in the country. 

"But the Parliament complex is one of the cleanest places in the country, especially when the sessions are on, so what were they sweeping," Abdullah said in the first of a series of tweets. 

His next tweet read: “Ma’am please practice how to wield the (broom) in private before your next photo op. This technique you’ve employed won’t contribute much to improving cleanliness in Mathura (or anywhere else for that matter).”

 "I knew sweeping the dormitories in Sanawar would be useful for something. I’m now qualified to comment on the technique of others"
