RANCHI: Two girls have committed suicide at different places in Jharkhand, police said on Thursday.

Two girls have committed suicide at different places in Jharkhand, police said on Thursday.

The body of one of the victims, Muskan Singh, was found by fishermen on Thursday morning in the Dhruva dam here.

According to the police, Singh, who was an engineer, had secured a job in Bengaluru and was due to join.

On Wednesday evening, she had a heated argument with her mother following which she left home, never to return.

The second suicide was reported from Lohardagga district.

Vinita Kumar, 19, killed herself by consuming poison, the police said, adding she was mentally ill.

She died in the hospital.

In the past, she had tried committing suicide by jumping into a well. — IANS
