Chandigarh, July 14
Three people were killed and 24 were wounded when a pendulum ride came crashing down at an amusement park in Ahmedabad’s Kankaria on Sunday evening, official sources said.
The 65-feet ride was up 30 feet into the air when it came off the hinges and fell to the ground.
Several of the 26 people who have been admitted to the hospital with injuries are believed to be critical.
Thirty-one of the ride’s 32 seats were occupied at the time of the accident. Death toll is likely to climb.
ANI quoted Municipal Commissioner Vijay Nehra as saying: "Police along with the FSL team is investigating the matter. Proper treatment is being given to the injured".
