Ally RLSP rejects Shah’s Bihar seat-sharing plan

Ahead of Mission 2019 Union Minister and Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) chief Upendra Kushwaha on Monday turned down BJP chief Amit Shah’s seat-sharing formula for Bihar.

“I don’t play cricket, so I do not understand the formula of 20:20. Instead, I prefer to play ‘Guli-Danda’,” Kushwaha said.

As per Shah’s reported 20-20 formula, the BJP is expected to contest on 20 Lok Sabha seats, Nitish Kumar-led JD-U 12, Ram Vilas Paswan’s LJP 6, leaving only two seats for Kushwaha’s RLSP in the 2019 General Election. The RLSP blamed Bihar CM Nitish Kumar for creating ‘confusion’ over seat-sharing within ruling coalition in Bihar.

Kushwaha also expressed shock over declining law and order in Bihar and reacted to the murder of former Mayor of Muzaffarpur and his driver, saying: “God, what is happening in Bihar?”

A day ago, some unidentified assailants intercepted the vehicle of Muzaffarpur former Mayor Samir Kumar and shot him and his driver dead. Kushwaha has been attacking the Nitish Kumar government over growing crime trajectory in Bihar for some time.
