New Delhi, November 15

The BJP on Sunday appointed Union Minister Anurag Thakur the election in-charge for the coming local polls in the UT of J&K while party general secretary Bhupender Yadav will be in-charge for the Greater Hyderabad MC polls.

Party spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain and its MP Sanjay Bhatia will be co-incharge for the J&K polls. The BJP made big gains in Telangana in the Lok Sabha polls and then again in the recent Assembly bypoll. It is now looking at the GHMC polls to make a political statement in the state. — PTI
