New Delhi, October 17

Assembly elections round the corner, the issue is expected to top the agenda of BJP national office-bearers’ meeting tomorrow. Sources say the leadership is likely to discuss issues ranging from elections in five states, including UP, Punjab and Uttarakhand, early next year, the farmers’ agitation and the government’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

With India set to achieve the 100-crore vaccination mark, the party plans to showcase it as a major achievement of the Modi government in the upcoming polls. BJP president JP Nadda will preside over the meeting. Discussions are also expected on the recent violence at Lakhimpur Kheri and the murder of a Dalit at Singhu border, sources said. — TNS
