New Delhi, September 19

With increasing number of MPs testing Covid-positive, parliamentarians today reached a consensus to curtail the monsoon session of Parliament. Speaker Om Birla had called an urgent meeting of the Business Advisory Committee.

A final decision will be taken by the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs.

It is learnt the session could be adjourned as early as next Wednesday or Thursday. The passage of 11 Bills replacing ordinances would be key to determine curtailment. — TNS
