The Congress will take a final decision on Monday on whether to enter into a pre poll alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi will take the call after he again met the Delhi unit leaders who had earlier unanimously rejected the proposal of any truck with AAP.

Since the last meeting with the Sheila Dikshit-led Delhi Congress, it appears some leaders have had a rethink on alliance possibilities.

Today, in a morning meeting with Gandhi, AICC Delhi in-charge PC Chacko, former state chiefs Ajay Makan and Arvinder Lovely and one more Leader favoured a pre-poll understanding with the AAP.

Dikshit, all three Delhi Congress working presidents and former MP Jai Prakash Agarwal were against the pact.

The ball is now in Rahul Gandhi’s court.
