New Delhi: The CBI has issued a lookout notice against Bijay Mishra, brother of Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Binay Mishra who is a confidant of party MP Abhishek Banerjee, in a cattle-smuggling case, officials said on Saturday. The officials said the CBI had been actively considering using the option of approaching the Interpol to get a Red Corner Notice (RCN) issued against Binay Mishra, who is yet to join the investigation. — TNS
NIA chargesheets 3 Bodo militants
New Delhi: The NIA has filed a chargesheet before a special court here against three Bodo militants for their alleged involvement in carrying out an ambush in which two people, including an additional superintendent of police, were killed in 2014, an official said on Saturday. Bishnu Narzary, Nitul Daimary and Runiluish Daimary have been charged under provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the IPC and the Arms Act, he added. — TNS
