Dense fog in some parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh, day temperatures rise across state

Lucknow, February 10

Isolated places in eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh witnessed very dense fog on Wednesday even as day temperatures have started rising across the state, the meteorological department said here.

“Very dense fog occurred at isolated places over East UP. The day temperatures rose appreciably in Jhansi, Agra divisions and no large change in the remaining divisions over the state,” it said.

The temperatures were above normal in Agra, Jhansi, Meerut divisions and normal in the remaining divisions of the state.

The highest maximum temperature in the state was 30.1 degrees Celsius recorded at Jhansi observatory.

Night temperatures also rose in Moradabad division while no large changes were seen in the remaining divisions of the state.

The lowest minimum temperature in UP was 7.5 degrees Celsius recorded at Basti observatory, it said. — PTI
