Congress distances from Sahay’s ‘Hitler’ remark against PM Modi

Tribune News Service

New Delhi, June 20

A massive face-off erupted today over Congress veteran Subodh Kant Sahay’s remarks that PM Narendra Modi “will meet Hilter’s fate if he follows in his footsteps”. The remarks made by Sahay while addressing the party “Satyagraha” saw the Congress immediately distancing itself from the statement and the BJP lashing back at the grand old party citing 80 occasions when Congress leaders had “abused the PM”.

Congress’ Jairam Ramesh said, “We do not approve of any unparliamentary references against the PM. Our struggle will follow the Gandhian path of peaceful protests.”
