CHANDIGARH: Eid-al-Adha was celebrated with fervour in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on Wednesday. People offered Eid prayers and sacrificed goats.

Eid-al-Adha was celebrated with fervour in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on Wednesday.

People offered Eid prayers and sacrificed goats or cattle commemorating the great sacrifice of Prophet Abraham.

PM Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind have extended greetings on Eid-al-Adha hoping that the festival of sacrifice would deepen the spirit of compassion in society.
