DEHRADUN:The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) will hold a workshop here on January 19 to help prepare aspirants wanting to make a career in movies and television to join the institute, an official said Wednesday.

The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) will hold a workshop here on January 19 to help prepare aspirants wanting to make a career in movies and television to join the institute, an official said Wednesday.

The day-long workshop to be held at Suchna Bhawan here is aimed at answering the queries of aspirants about the Joint Entrance Test (JET) to be held on February 24 for admission into FTII, Pune and the courses run by the premier institute, Additional Director Information Anil Chandola said.

The workshop ‘Admission 2019’ will be a good opportunity for young boys and girls looking to make a career in the film and television industry to prepare themselves for the JET held annually, he said. Director FTII, Pune Bhupendra Kainthola, filmmaker Shalin Shah and Nainital-based cinematographer Rajesh Shah will be present at the workshop to help and guide young aspirants, the official said.

Such workshops have already been held in Pune, Mumbai, Jaipur, Nagpur and Delhi, Chandola said.

Information about the JET can be obtained by visiting the institute’s website and those willing to appear for the test can apply online, he said. — PTI
