New Delhi, April 13
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today said it had issued a provisional attachment order under criminal provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to seize assets of jailed NCP leader Nawab Malik in a case linked to fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim and his gang.
In an official statement, the ED said it had issued the order attaching properties belonging to “Mohammed Nawab Mohammed Islam Malik, alias Nawab Malik, his family members, Solidus Investments Pvt Ltd and Malik Infrastructure under criminal provisions of the PMLA”. It further said the properties include Goawala compound and a commercial unit in Mumbai’s suburban Kurla (West), a 147.79-acre agricultural land located in Osmanabad district, three flats in Kurla (West) and two flats in Bandra (West).
