A Delhi-based lawyer has moved the Supreme Court seeking a judicial probe into terror attacks in Uri and Pulwama in which Indian security forces suffered huge casualties.

While 19 soldiers had died in the September 18, 2016 Uri terror attack, 42 CRPC Jawans lost their lives in last week's attack at Pulwama.

In his petition, advocate Vineet Dhanda demanded the Government should freeze all bank accounts belonging to All Parties Hurriyat Conference and their leaders and submit an action taken report before the top court. He also sought a direction to debar APHC and other anti-national parties from contesting the Lok Sabha and state assembly polls.

Dhanda wanted the top court to direct the government to constitute a commission headed by a retired Supreme Court Judge and having officials from the Army, intelligence and local administration to inquiry into the Uri and Pulwama attacks and find out the lapses.

The petitioner wanted lapses to be detected at local level as also the role played by Indian nationals in helping the terrorists from Pakistan in executing these attacks.

"Besides fighting the terrorists and their Pakistan-based sponsors, there is need to take action against those Indians who are directly or indirectly helping the terrorists," Dhanda told The Tribune.

Dhanda accused the Government of Jammu and Kashmir of not taking enough strict action to control lawlessness in the state and ignoring incidents of stone pelting on the armed forces.

"It is high time to dig out all the people involved in anti-India activities supporting Pakistani terror outfits especially those political party leaders who are not only supporting terrorism but are also actively involved in misguiding the youth to terrorism and hereby causing serious unrest and loss of precious lives of our soldiers for their monetary benefits which is resulting into the destabilising not only the State of Jammu and Kashmir but also our great nation India," the petitioner submitted.
