The Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party are in wait-and-watch mode after Devendra Fadnavis resigned as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

After a meeting with NCP chief Sharad Pawar late this evening, Maharashtra Congress chief Balasaheb Thorat and former Chief Ministers Prithviraj Chavan and Ashok Chavan said they would decide what to do after the governor makes his move.

”We have not decided on any strategy. We are now waiting for the Governor to make the next move,” Thorat told reporters.
