Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the UN General Assembly on September 25, according to the revised provisional list of speakers released by the UN.
There were attempts to shift PM Modi’s address to Friday when Pakistan PM Imran Khan is also slated to speak. US President Joe Biden will deliver his address on September 21.
PM Modi could also participate in the first in-person Quadrilateral summit with Biden, Japanese PM Yoshihide Suga and Australian PM Scott Morrison. Suga and Morrison are also slated to speak at the UNGA, which means they will be in New York during the high-level segment.
Besides bilaterals with the three Quad leaders, including one currently being scheduled with Biden, PM Modi could also hold a roundtable with American CEOs. — TNS
