Muslims give away ‘disputed’ Saharanpur land to Sikhs

New Delhi, March 3

In a goodwill gesture for the compassion shown by the Sikh community during the riots, the Muslim community from Saharanpur gave away their claim on the piece of land given to them as part of settlement post Saharanpur riots between Sikhs and Muslims in 2014.

Besides, the Muslim community has decided to pay Rs 60 lakh to Sikhs. A special function was held at Gurdwara Rakabganj, presided by SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal, former MP Prem Singh Chandumajra and head of the party’s UP unit ,Gurpreet Singh Bagga. — TNS
